Hostcrate Has Moved!!

We have moved to a new location! All rental boxes have been put at the new place. I’m still working on making them nice & neat so bare with me. You can click on any of the kiosk to pay rent or find your box by clicking browse from the menu then “My Rentals” from the page that opens in your web browser.

UPDATE: Unscheduled Reboot: Changes & Official Announcements

Hi There!

First, I’m sorry for the unscheduled reboot. More than a handful of customers were complaining of skipping and the server load was high so a reboot was performed. This notice is IMPORTANT! Don’t skim it – read it.

 

UPDATE: These changes will NO LONGER take effect. After many people made it quite clear they were not happy campers about this, I’m listening and not changing to these bit rates. I will update the packages server side and you’ll have to restart your radio for changes to take effect … (unless you want another server reboot 😉 ). I’m sorry for the confusion. I REALLY try to accommodate everyone to make everyone happy. Just know that I will be enforcing bit rate abuse so please DON’T stream higher than what you are allowed to..Including the music files you are streaming…it could affect other customers who are on the same server as you by spiking the server load & resources. Thank you for those who were polite in expressing how they felt and understanding I was just trying to eliminate any potential issues.

If you are caught streaming HIGHER than those limits, your radio will be turned OFF automatically by the software. The software developers said they fixed that issue so we’re reactivating that option. This INCLUDES if your music file is set to higher bit rates than allowed so *check your files* before you stream them. You can use google on how to do that.

Violations of our policies will NO LONGER be tolerated. There is no excuse for you to be rude to any staff members or to other customers. I will personally terminate accounts WITHOUT REFUND for any violations of our terms of service and any other of our policies.

CHECK OUR POLICIES SO YOU DON’T VIOLATE THEM! They are getting an update very soon and will be posted in multiple places at the store linking to a direct webpage with ALL the details. Read them, seriously.

Office is moving to a new, bigger location. I’m currently moving boxes over to the new place. If the area where yours was is empty, there will be a kiosk for you to use to either find your rental OR pay right there at the kiosk.

As soon as I can squeeze in the time, I will create a few video tutorials on how to navigate the new office. An update to the how to turn your stream online and so on. Bare with me…I’m only one person and I can only do so much at once which is why I’m hiring. I’ll be squeezing in interviews into my days as soon as I can.

I’m doing stream terminations in about an hour so if you are overdue, you risk losing your stream as there is NO GRACE PERIOD for inworld streams. We don’t reopen terminated accounts UNLESS they are lifetime licenses.

Im sick, Forgive Me

Hi everyone,

I am currently fighting off a cold so I’m not going to be able to do everything that I have to do this week. I’m taking medicine (dayquil/nyquil) so hopefully I’m better soon. Until then Licenses, custom URLs, promotional items will be on hold until I’m well. I apologize and appreciate your understanding and patience. I’m only sending this notice here because I’m just too sick to set up my laptop so sending it with my phone and just don’t have the strength to send it everywhere else so please pass on the message if someone asks in group or otherwise.
