Update to port changes: Please read.

Hey there! I just wanted to give an update to this post. There have been many who have voiced their concerns in doing this. I apologize for causing any stress. I will make this easier on everyone and only update streams that are affected. What does this mean? It means that unless your port number causes an issue with other streams/ports at anytime in the future, only then will I change it.

Hopefully this helps to not cause anyone to panic. I will reach out to you if this happens and you’ll be able to chose your next port number (given it is available). I am again so sorry. Hiya! If your port begins with anything outside the 8000 to 9999 range, I will *need* to change your port number to be within this range. Why? Because I was informed by the developers that ports outside that range can conflict with other systems in place: i.e. autodj functions (just had this issue with a customer). I will be reaching out to each person by IM & NC. Please don’t get too upset with me or give me grief as I cannot help it & this is the solution to preventing further issues from happening.

**Added: This will take me a bit to reach out to everyone so please be patient. Please note that if I don’t get a response within a few days, I will have to change it and move on to the next customer. I cannot hunt people down and I cannot have people telling me no because this isn’t an option, this is the only solution to fix the conflicting issue.

Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance (July 2024)

Our website, hostcrate.stream /news.hostcrate.stream and our webhosting services we provide (this is SEPARATE from our streams) will be undergoing an update maintenance to CloudLinux 8 on July 28th starting at 10 PM Eastern Time until 2 AM Eastern Time given that everything goes as planned. While services may not be fully unavailable during the whole maintenance window – there will be long periods during the maintenance window when the servers are unresponsive so don’t be alarmed. We will keep you all posted via our Facebook page, SL Group notices, and in our Discord. Direct any questions to me, LustyLexxi Larimore

Again, this won’t affect streams as those are on completely separate servers. This only affects our website and our webhosting services (if you have webhosting with us).

Upcoming Maintenance: June 26th, 2024

Our website hosting provider for hostcrate.stream will updating the operating system on June 26th, 2024. They are scheduling downtime on June 26th, 2024 starting at 10PM EST (7PM SLT) until 2AM EST (11PM SLT). They expect the upgrade only to take approximately 2 hours, so they are scheduling a longer window just in case things don’t go as expected. ** THIS MAINTENANCE WON’T AFFECT STREAMS/STREAMING SERVICES** as our website is hosted outside our streaming servers specifically for reasons such as these or if our streams are down but we can keep you informed with our website.

To be specific:

Our website provider currently uses CloudLinux 7 and that reaches it’s End of Life [EoL] on July 1, 2024, so no further security updates or patches will be available after that date. Additionally, cPanel has stopped providing updates for CloudLinux 7, keeping us on a slightly older version lacking some of the newer features they’ve released recently.

This maintenance we will be upgrading to CloudLinux 8 which reaches its End of Life [EoL] on May 31, 2029, so they do not anticipate having to perform this kind of maintenance again for the next 5 years. They would love to go ahead and move to CloudLinux 9, however, cPanel’s support for CloudLinux 9 is experimental and not recommended for production environments.

While services will not be unavailable during the whole maintenance window – there will be long periods during the maintenance window when the server is unresponsive. They have tested these upgrades in their development and testing cluster and the process has gone smoothly but does take a fair bit of time. They will be taking every step possible to ensure this maintenance does not last any longer than necessary.

If you have any questions or concerns please reach out. Again, this maintenance is specific to our website, hostcrate.stream (which includes news.hostcrate.stream and any/all subdomains with hostcrate.stream).

ALL CLEAR: DATACENTER Emergency Maintenance

ALL CLEAR!

The servers are back online. Thank you so much for your patience & understanding! I appreciate it more than you know.

Server ending in 58 is currently back online. Server ending in 138 is still being worked on. –Lexxi

As of 4/25/2024 @ 1:11AM EST / 10:11PM SLT

It is a networking issue that the datacenter wasn’t expecting. They have their technicians working hard to get the issue resolved and the server back online. They will let me know when it has been fixed. I cannot stay awake any longer as it is 1AM in the morning for me, I need to get some sleep. Hopefully by the time I wake up or when I wake up to go pee (it happens lol), the servers will be back online. I will update you as soon as I wake up whether or not there are any further details. Please, if anyone asks via SL, FB, Discord, etc, refer them to this post. This site is NOT on our servers and is hosted elsewhere for this exact reason – so I can communicate with everyone  even when servers are down. As you can obviously see, that it is a bright idea to do so.

I will, again, update you soon as I wake up. I appreciate everyone being so understanding and GREATLY beyond words appreciate your patience.

Our datacenter will be performing emergency maintenance which will result in our servers being down for up to 2 hours. They will begin this around 4PM SLT TODAY.

They will safely be powering down the servers before they begin the maintenance work. I will send notification when they have completed this emergency maintenance and/or any further details in regards to it.

Server Reboots

I will be doing server reboots on Monday at 8AM SLT. This should only take a few minutes. I will send notice once it has been done. I will also be turning on all streams and all autodj’s when finished.

I would of done it tomorrow but didn’t want to interrupt anyone who may have a gig on the weekend & wanted to give a bit of a head’s up.

Stream Terminations Schedule

Tomorrow on Tuesday March 19th will be the beginning of the new terminations schedule. I will be doing terminations of accounts that are in overdue status. We no longer have a grace period so if your stream/account is overdue any amount of time, you risk termination. I do not reopen regular accounts as that perk is reserved for VIP Licenses (it is called reactivations).

Terminations will be every Tuesday and Thursday (T days for Termination if that helps to remember)
