Our Plan Updates

As most of you know by now our pricing went into affect back on November 17th, 2023. I have put off with those plans we no longer have available to have people choose another plan. That time has now come.

For our regular stream plans: We no longer have the intro plan so you can either go with the budget plan or upgrade to the club plan. Whatever time is on your account will remain and you won’t have to pay the difference nor will you be refunded if you choose to downgrade.

For our VIP License stream plans: We no longer have the standard / intro plan so you can downgrade to our VIP Budget License or upgrade to the 5GB VIP License. Whatever time is on your account will remain and you won’t have to pay the difference nor will you be refunded if you choose to downgrade.

I will reach out by direct IM and leave a notecard to customers who are on those plans. You’ll have until January 31st, 2024. If I don’t get a reply, I’ll upgrade you.

Why upgrade? Because those plans have space & autodj and if I were to downgrade you then you’d lose access to your AutoDJ and the music you’ve uploaded & playlists would be gone so just in case someone wanted to be upgraded but didn’t reach out, you’d not have to worry that you lost all that hard work. I hope that makes sense.

FINAL UPDATE: Migration Complete!

Hiya. The migration of the servers to the new datacenter has been completed. The DNS update may take a few days to reflect as being changed. Please be sure to change the IP address in your encoder if you software requires you to use an IP address to connect to your stream for live broadcasting. All data should of been copied right over to the new server including all playlists & autodj settings. Please let me know if anything is messed up including if your port # isn’t working properly so that I can work on fixing it. If you don’t report a problem to me, I don’t know that it is broken/an issue.

For those on server that was cp1.hostcrate.com /cp3.hostcrate.net –  IP ending in 147, the IP for that server is now 172.111.49.58
The control panel control panel URL will remain the same, your username, password, & port. Everything, EXCEPT the IP address, will stay the same.

For those on server that was cp2.hostcrate.rocks IP ending in 242 – the IP for that server is now 172.99.148.138
The control panel control panel URL will remain the same, your username, password, & port. Everything, EXCEPT the IP address, will stay the same.

UPDATE TO THE MIGRATION PROGRESS

Hello!

For those on server IP ending in 147

The back end of the migration will be completed on Monday December 18th, 2023 starting at 9AM SLT. This includes the DNS A records for the IP address for all domains including the control panel domain. The DNS change worldwide may take up to 24 to 48 hours. During DNS update, the browser may connect to the old server which will result invalid password so bear with us while the changes update. For future reference the new IP address is 172.111.49.58 and the control panel URL will remain the same, just changing the IP address as it is with a different datacenter.


Those on Server IP ending in 242

The migration process will begin on Monday, same time as well. This may take up to 2 days, it just depends. They were able to do the other server in about 15 hours but have a backup just in case. The back end of this will be done as soon as the migration is completed so you may get the same issues as described above. Please be patient and bear with me through this process. The datacenter & I are working to have the least amount of downtime possible. I will send an update again once everything has been completed. Also for future reference, your IP will be 172.99.148.138


Notes

Also note I am sending out this notification to each customer via a notification system inworld. I will also be taking the time to send this to each customer directly as well. Just trying to notify everyone the best I can. This is why we have a website so if you IMs get capped, you can still access important information such as this. I also want to side note that I *didn’t* want to move/migrate. I was forced to by the datacenter we had been with for just shy of a decade! 10 years of loyalty. You can read that ticket interaction on this post for full details. I just wanted to make that crystal clear as I did receive a not so friendly IM complaining about my moving and raising pricing. If I would of ordered servers with the current datacenter, the price increase would of been a lot more as they are expensive. But I didn’t want to do that so I looked for another & receive word from someone who knows their stuff. Their pricing is reasonable and I didn’t have to raise it that much. I also moved my office to lessen the cost of operations which lessen the price I would have to increase it by. If you have an issue with this and decided to leave Hostcrate, I’m sorry and I do hope that you find a provider that is better suited for you. We wll be here if ever you decide to come back.

Migration Progress

Hiya.

Server ending in 147 has been migrated (cp1.hostcrate.com). The backend admin parts I will be doing on Monday, December 18th, 2023 starting at 9AM SLT. The next server migration will be done soon as I have to order the server for this & have things setup in the backend. I will keep you all updated.

P.S. you’ll be able to stream just fine as the old server will remain until the update of DNS on Monday is done and then you’ll need to update the IP address you use which is given in this post. Migration Begins Dec 6th

They will be starting the migration process on December 6th, 2023. You shouldn’t notice any issues or interruptions as you should be able to stream as normal. They (the software developer) will be just migrating all of the data to the new server. Once done, I will send another notice with the new IP address and switch behind the scenes info as needed. You shouldn’t have to do anything on your part until I have sent out info for the IP, Control panel Info, etc.

Moving Datacenters

Hello.

We will have to move datacenters by January 31st, 2024. By “have to”…we have no choice. After just shy of 10 (TEN) years with this datacenter….we received an email to which opened a ticket automatically by their system. I replied…there was a small exchange. I had to double reply as there was no response from them for 6 DAYS! Imagine if I were to leave you as a customer on read for 6 days only to reply with the response they left me…no help whatsoever. Imagine how upset you’d be…that is me, right now. I have been very angry over this.

I am so sorry this has to happen. I am looking for us a new place to call home that will be reliable. Once I find some options to try (and have the funds for), I will get into our Beta discord to give people access. This, by the way, will cost me to find a new home because servers are not free to just test (that’d be great lol) and I have to also pay for the software to put onto the servers which also isn’t free so please bear with me as my husband will be trying to help with footing the bill to help us out.

All updates will be posted here so please keep an eye out.

Migration Successfully Completed (Dec2021-Feb2022)

Hey everyone!

I am SUPER happy to announce that the migration has been FINISHED! Whew! FINALLY! I will now be adding time to rental boxes of ** ONLY ** those affected. Your rental box will officially receive 56 days onto your box in a few moments from when this post goes live. I used the useful timeanddate.com in case anyone needs a such a tool! Phase 2 started on December 31st, 2021 until today when I officially finished the migration.

If you were in overdue status before the migration & are in overdue status once I have added said time, you will have 7 days to pay your rental box or you will risk losing your stream for non-payment. ALL temp streams that were given out will be deleted officially TOMORROW as soon as I wake up. Payments are officially no longer on hold. I will be doing terminations of ALL streams that took advantage of my being incredibly BUSY with this migration and were NOT affected by this migration tomorrow.

That is the end of this update…I think…Ya girl is TIRED so if there was anything that I missed, I will post further updates.

UPDATE #16:
FEB 23rd, 2022 AT 4:13PM SLT (7:13PM EST):

Hiya all!

I am now officially moving onto creating Custom URLs. ALL accounts that were affected by this migration that didn’t have a custom URL attached to it as been recreated & sent so please check your inventory for a notecard named Hostcrate – Stream Login (v4.0) NEW INFO

I am closing in on being completely finished with this migration. Once I have actually crossed the finish line, I will then be focusing on adding the exact amount of time that it took me to complete this migration onto the rental boxes of those who were affected. If you were in overdue status before the migration & are in overdue status once I have added said time, you will have 7 days to pay your rental box or you will risk losing your stream for non-payment.

I believe I am giving plenty/fair amount of time to get caught up. We *do not* reopen regular rental boxes unless they are a license so please be sure to pay your rental once I have announced you should do so. Until then, payments are on hold until I have 100% finished this migration just another FYI.

My next post should be that I have finished 🙂 so be on the lookout.

UPDATE #15:
FEB 16th, 2022 AT 8:40AM SLT (11:40AM EST):

Hello everyone.

** I AM SO CLOSE TO FINISHED **

I am now moving onto the streams that were on 30.242. There are 62 regular (non-autodj, no custom urls) streams. There are 16 autodj accounts. I will be going in order on this spreadsheet so if you wish to know what number you are in line, just ask. I will be then doing all of the 29 custom URLs that were on both servers – there are a couple of extra steps than before but it isn’t too bad. (If I counted all these numbers correctly LOL)

I am so very much hoping I can get this done by my birthday on the 18th so I can just relax on that day & this weekend. This is the plan of attack that I wanted to keep you all posted. Once I have all the accounts finished, I will add time to everyone’s rental boxes who were affected with the *exact* amount of time it took me to do this from the day that Phase 2 started which is December 31st, 2021 and as of today’s date that would be: https://gyazo.com/794e941e96a0ef0468615f20174ddd39  Just to give you an idea of the amount of time that will be put on your rental box. If your rental box is still in overdue status after this time has been added, I will grant a  ̶3̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶  7 day grace period before doing terminations (upped to 7 from the original 3 that I initially posted on UPDATE #13). FEB 6th, 2022 AT 12:33PM SLT (3:33PM EST):

Hiya everyone!

I know this migration has taken me a lot longer than anticipated. I am still working through getting the remaining streams done (about 100 left). You will receive a notecard from me directly — Check your inventory for a notecard named “Hostcrate – Stream Login (v4.0) NEW INFO” without the quotes — If you don’t have it yet please be patient, I haven’t gotten to yours. If you were on 147 already that didn’t have a custom url, you should have already received yours so if you can’t find the notecard please reach out.

Again, no one is obligated to pay their rental while this migration is still in progress for those who were affected by the migration. I will add time to everyone’s boxes who were affected with the exact amount of time that this migration took.

If you need a backup stream, contact me directly so I can create one for you. Backup streams will be on us & you will be able to use it until I have 100% finished this migration.

I’m sorry this has taken so long. This was not my intention. I’m going as fast as I can when I can between taking care of my 11 week old puppy and dealing with very painful knee issues making it extremely difficult to stand, walk, sit down, squat, or anything … I have a doctors appt set for Wednesday, however, I may not be able to go because I’m pretty sure my healthcare coverage was cut off without notice (can’t log into their site) so we shall see when I call them on Monday. I know – TMI and not really anyone’s business but these are the reasons behind why I am slow.

That is the only update I have currently. Thank you to everyone who has been patient, understanding, and kind while I try to get this all done.

UPDATE #13:
JAN 23rd, 2022 AT 5:20PM SLT (8:20PM EST): I have 122 accounts overall left remaining. Some of these are more complicated to do with AutoDJ files having to be re-uploaded along with their settings. Some are also custom URLs which takes a few extra steps to get done as well so I am going as fast as I can and I am the only person doing this.

If you need a backup stream please reach out as I have said before in previous migration related posts. I am really close to having this 100% completely just a bit longer so please be patient. No one who has been affected is expected to pay their rental boxes until the migration is 100% finished. I will be placing time that it took to do this migration back onto rental boxes that it affected.If that still brings you into overdue status, I will grant a 3 day grace period before doing those terminations.

If this migration didn’t affect you and you are overdue (especially by quite a lot), in turn is taking advantage of how busy I am trying to get this migration finished for everyone who was affected, your stream that is overdue will be terminated without any further notifications (I see who you are & it’s not very nice I must say).

A GIANT thank you to everyone who is being so kind, patient, and understanding. I appreciate it more than you know.

Alright, back to work I go. I do believe the next update I will post will most likely be to let ya all know that it has been finished. Let’s hope no more issues arise 🙂

UPDATE #12:
JAN 16th, 2022 AT 9:38PM SLT (12:38PM EST): Hello everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know where we are so far.

I have approximately 34 streams that are NOT custom URLs remaining to send out to customers who were already on the 147.

I have approximately 12 streams that are NOT custom URLs that have AutoDJ with music files remaining to do that were already on the 147 server. I have to re-upload their music & setup their AutoDJ again then send out their updated notecards.

I have approximately 21 custom URLs to complete that were on the 147 server. Please understand that custom URL’s do require an extra process to complete on my end so makes it a tiny bit more complicated.

Currently, if you were on server ending in 30.242, I have not started on those accounts yet but will as soon as I have finished the above streams that were already on the 147 server.

Once I have sent everyone their new updated notecards, I will then proceed to update rental boxes with said notecards so you can grab a copy of your notecard if you need it later.

PLEASE if you need a backup stream, let me know, I will create you one to use while I am working to finish this up. We are close to the end…but we still have quite a bit more work remaining so bear with me…. I am doing this all by myself and going as fast as I can.

That is the latest update. I will send out another when/if necessary but this is where I am currently. Thank you to everyone who is so kind, patient, and understanding while I go through this process. There is NO specific ETA…I am just going, and going, and going until I have completed this 100%. I will send notice when this is 100% finished, I promise.

I am still working to correct the port conflicts with accounts. I need a bit of a break (my eyes & back are a killing me, along with the stress being overwhelming) so I will return to this Monday night. As long as there aren’t any further technical issues, this should be done within the next week. Thank you again for being patient & understanding through this migration!!!!

P.S.: Please understand I do have an RL to attend to with a 7 week old puppy named Nala (yep, name from The Lion King lol), who needs lots of love, cuddles, and training so while she sleeps, I will be working  or sleeping too so my schedule will be a bit wild for a bit. In case you love pups, here she is 😉 (the other doggie in the video is our 12 year old Shiba Inu, Blitz, making his appearance)

JAN 7th, 2022 AT 10:15PM SLT (1:15AM EST):
I have a short & possibly upsetting update and a reason behind the delay.  Port numbers that start in the 3000’s-5999’s, your port will be different for sure. We will then use the recommended port number by the software itself as told to do by the developers so we don’t have a conflict of ports like we just experienced. AutoDJ’s that weren’t working will begin to work again soon. If you already received your notecard, you will receive a message from me by notecard explaining this issue in case you missed it if your port was one affected. I’m so very sorry …. I wish I could keep everything the same but it is truly out of my hands.

UPDATE #9:
JAN 5th2022 AT 3:18PM SLT (6:18PM EST): I have finished creating accounts that were on server 147 already except those who a custom url. I’m sending out those notecards – if you were on 147 already, you should receive a notecard with your info soon. If you miss it, you can grab a copy from your rental box. Once I have sent all of these out, I will begin to work on those that were on server 30.242. Then I will work on those with Custom URLs. This will take a few more days…but I am going as fast as I can…please understand that I’m human and will need to take breaks for food as well as sleep in between. Again I’m doing my very best to get this all done as fast as possible. If you need a backup stream in the meantime, please reach out so we can get you one. UPDATE #8: Quickie update, I’m at about 70 accounts to go. I’m just creating the accounts now to go faster. Then I will be sending out notecards. Just thought I’d send a update. If you have autodj with music files, I will be re-uploading your files along with the setting up your autodj so don’t panic if you get your notecard but your autodj has nothing in it — I’m just trying to get people’s accounts at least up to get it done hopefully in a faster pace. UPDATE #6:
JAN 1st 2022 AT 4PM SLT (7PM EST): READ THIS IN FULL! Server ending in 30.242 has been terminated (as I have been saying it would be so please don’t message me acting as if this is a surprise…this was planned and I sent numerous notices). I am in the process of moving all of the affected accounts onto server IP ending in 147. This, again, will take time. I have to recreate the accounts manually 1 by 1. Some accounts will be quick and easy. Others, specifically custom URL accounts and AutoDJ accounts, will not be as I have to also re-upload their music files after setting their autodj back up.

When I have your account finished, you will receive a new notecard with your details on it for your stream. Remember, the control panel URL will be slightly different and if your username had “sc_” in the front that will no longer be the case. Your port number will only change if A: it is already in use by another account I created (because accounts on another server is being migrated over to this one) OR B: the port is bad. I won’t know until I have created the account and if it is either of those, your port number will be switched. I cannot control these issues so I apologize in advance. Please, please, please, I beg you to be patience as I am going as fast as I can!

If you need a backup during this time, reach out to get one. You can contact NekoBoi Littlepaws OR LustyLexxi Larimore to get one. I suggest you send an IM AND a notecard just in case our messages cap (happens often), we will send you a backup free of charge to use until the migration is 100% completed.

Please also note anyone who is in overdue status, payment will be due immediately once this migration has finished. I will only give you an extra 24 hours before I do terminations of late streams after I have sent notice that the migration is completed. Please keep that in mind. DEC 31st 2021 AT 2:30PM SLT (5:30PM EST): Ticket filed for server ending in 30.242 to be terminated. I have started the process of recreating/re-uploading accounts onto the server ending in 147. This process may take a few days, a week, there is NO ETA as I have to recreate & re-upload each account manually ONE by ONE. This is why we are offering backups so PLEASE contact me (LustyLexxi Larimore) if you need a backup stream during this migration. This downtime is UNAVOIDABLE, I’m sorry.

UPDATE #4:
DEC 31st 2021 AT 2PM SLT (5PM EST): Server ending in 30.242 will be terminated **VERY SOON (like within the hour or less) ** which will make all streams on this server unavailable/inaccessible. Those who were on this server will be moved to the 147 server. I will start the process of moving accounts onto the server ending in 147. This process may take a few days, a week, there is NO ETA as I have to recreate & re-upload each account manually. This is why we are offering backups so PLEASE contact me (LustyLexxi Larimore) if you need a backup stream during this migration. This downtime is UNAVOIDABLE, I’m sorry.

UPDATE #3:
DEC 31st 2021 AT 9:33AM SLT (12:33AM EST):
PHASE 5 HAS BEGUN, PHASE 4 WILL FOLLOW SUIT. SORRY FOR THESE BEING A BIT REVERSED. I HAVE BEGUN THE PROCESS OF SAVING THE DATA FROM SERVER ENDING IN 30.242 WITH ABOUT 30 ACCOUNTS REMAINING. ONCE I HAVE SAVED ALL OF THIS DATA & DOUBLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE I DID ON THIS SERVER, I WILL BEGIN PHASE 4 OF RESTORING ACCOUNTS ONTO THE 147 SERVER. WHEN ALL STREAMS HAVE BEEN RESTORED FROM THE SERVER 30.242, THAT SERVER WILL BE TERMINATED. THE NEXT UPDATE WILL BE US SENDING OUT NEW NOTECARDS WITH STREAM DETAILS WHETHER THEY PORT/INFO HAS CHANGED BECAUSE WHERE YOU LOG IN (control panel) WILL BE DIFFERENT. CHECK ON THIS PAGE TO CONTINUE TO STAY INFORMED! THANK YOU!

DEC 31st 2021 AT 1:13AM SLT (4:13AM EST): New control panel has been successfully installed. Proceeding to setup the new control panel. Next Update will be finishing the remaining 30 accounts on 30.242 & saving the stream data/info. Please standby.

DEC 31st 2021 AT 12:44AM SLT (3:44AM EST): I apologize if I send too many messages/notices, just keeping everyone updated. The operating system has been re-installed. Waiting a slight change to be done then will proceed to install new control panel software.

PHASE 2 BEGINNING!!!!!

AS I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS THIS PHASE WAS COMING & IT IS NOW HERE! SERVER 147 WILL BEGIN GOING THROUGH THE RE-INSTALLATION OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM. STREAM INFO/DATA HAS BEEN SAVED SO THE SERVER WILL BE WIPED CLEAN, OPERATING SYSTEM RE-INSTALLED, NEW CONTROL PANEL INSTALLED THEN I WILL BEGIN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING ACCOUNTS BACK ONTO THE 147 WITH THE DATA THAT WAS SAVED. DURING THIS PHASE, STREAMS WILL BE COMPLETELY UNAVAILABLE/INACCESSIBLE! THIS DOWNTIME CANNOT BE AVOIDED BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE FOR THE NEW CONTROL PANEL HAS TO HAVE A CLEAN SERVER WHICH IS WHY THE OPERATING SYSTEM IS BEING WIPED & RE-INSTALLED!!!!

PLEASE IF U NEED A BACKUP DURING THIS MIGRATION REACH OUT TO ME DIRECTLY ASAP – IF I’M ONLINE BY MESSAGING ME OR BY NOTECARD IF I AM OFFLINE!

SERVER ENDING IN 30.242 WILL BE TERMINATED ONCE DATA HAS BEEN SAVED (we’re very close to this, 30 accounts left to do) THEN ALL THOSE ACCOUNTS WILL BE MOVED TO 147!!!

If you are on either of these servers (147 or 30.242), this migration affects you! As I have sent numerous messages trying to reach everyone! Please don’t wait: if you plan on streaming during this migration, you’ll need a backup. Backups are being provided by me free of charge so please contact me directly by NC if I’m offline or by IM if I’m online to get one. We’re moving into Phase 2 & streams will become UNAVAILABLE/UNACCESSIBLE so please reach out if u need a backup!!!
