Hi, hello, How are you? Update from Lexxi

Hiya,

I hope that everyone is doing well. I’m writing this to let y’all know I am ok. I appreciate all the support and love that you have shown. I am working my way back to being fully back. I am still grieving the loss of my mom … It has been nearly a month (Feb 5th). I’m very much working through it as much as I can. I still cry daily because I really miss my mom as we were really close. She was my best friend and I miss her every damn day. My apologies for my lack of being around but this has been very tough so I’m very sorry. I’m working on catching up on everything, I promise.

I am trying my best to get back. You’ll see me on and off doing work as much as I can. It may take me a long time to get back to “normal” but I’m trying the best that I can.

I will be going through applications today and throughout the week. I need dedicated, caring, and loyal reps working at Hostcrate so please if that isn’t you, don’t apply. If you filled out an application completely, you’ll hear from me by the end of this week. If you didn’t fill out the application in full then you won’t hear from me because I need those who can also follow instructions.

There will be a reboot on February 2nd, 2019 between 3AM – 6AM slt – I’ve set the alarm for this to make sure. If you have premium support, your stream will be started for you. If not, you’ll have to log into your control panel and click start. Here is a video tutorial.

Remember, if you need any help with your account with us at all please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us using our live chat/ticket system. If no one is available, it will create a ticket for us to reply to using the email you leave. Never, ever be afraid to get in contact with us as that is what we are here for! That is the reason we removed the support bot ticket system because it was unreliable so now we won’t miss any chats/tickets. You can go directly by clicking here or go to our website at www.hostcrate.stream and click the blue chat at the bottom right corner (screen shot)!

Update: Live Chat/Ticket Support

We will NO LONGER use the bot for tickets as they we getting lost and staff were not getting them as they should have been. We now will be using our live chat/ticket support feature which is now available. To access it you can go to https://www.hostcrate.stream/ and hit button on the bottom right hand corner (screen shot). If we’re offline, you can leave us a message & we will respond within 24 hours given you either leave your email or SL username but NO DISPLAY NAMES as we cannot look up your display name, obviously. You can also click any support sign at the office (screen shot) to be taken straight to the chat/ticket support page.

Alternatively, you can also use the following emails to have a ticket created for you to which we will reply to within 24 hours: Got a sales related question submit to sales@hostcrate.stream or for any support related inquiries submit to support@hostcrate.stream. For billing related inquiries, submit to billing@hostcrate.stream

This live chat/support ticket system will be used for real life customers as well. If you pay in US Dollars for your streaming services with us, you will be able to access this option in your customer account portal. It will say “Live Chat”. If you need help finding it just let us know and we can walk you through it.

We hope that this will help to streamline support and provide better assistance to those who are in need of help with their accounts or have any sales related questions.

IMPROVED SUPPORT: Live Chat & Ticket System

Over the next two weeks, I will be working to offer a better way for everyone to get support. The current ticket system through our bot isn’t doing the job and we’re missing tickets which is unacceptable. With this, I have to train staff on how to use the new system so bare with me. I will announce it as soon as we are ready with it.

This goes for customers who pay for services in US Dollars as well. This will help everyone all around.

Update: My Absence & Maintenance

Hello. In case you were unaware, I’m currently going through a very difficult time right now as my mom passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 5th so I’m taking care of her arrangements and my family so I’m unable at this time to take on everything with Hostcrate. My staff is doing all they can to help. I do hop on to check on things, make sure IMs dont cap & that the bills are paid & server is on but my family IS my priority so I apologize in advance about any delays in my replies. I will return full time when my real life has went back to normal (as normal as it could be, without my mom).

Note: We did an emergency reboot on January 13th, 2019 so the next reboot will be on February 2nd, 2019. The time may be different given my circumstances at home so bare with me on that. I will try to announce a time frame in advance but forgive me if I don’t give a proper heads up.

My Absence: My mom passed away

Hello everyone,

I am writing this post to let you all know that I will be absent for a bit of time. At 5:39PM today January 5th, 2019, my mom passed away from a massive heart attack. I am completely heartbroken and devastated to say the least. My husband and I will be on our way down to Florida to take care of things including my dad & family. It is about an 11 hour trip so I will mostly be driving so bare with me if you leave me any messages.

Please be patient with support as I don’t have a full staff. Sage is in the hospital still so please forgive me as this is extremely important. I am not doing so well so please bare with me while I try to get through this heartache.

Any profit at Hostcrate will be going toward taking care of my mom’s arrangements and … not calling it a damn funeral but a family gathering to celebrate my mom & how wonderful she was and how lucky I was to be her daughter. If you are inclined to help as I know most of you are so sweet and have offered such in the past for hard times, there is a donation box at the office on the desk BUT YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO AT ALL, I SWEAR, We will get through this difficult time.

Do you need web hosting separate from your shoutcast stream?

If you are a customer of Hostcrate then you are very much aware that we have separated our Shoutcast Streaming Services from our billing website including this website so if ever our servers were to go down for whatever the reason may be, we would be able to still communicate with you – outside of social media – and keep everyone up to date on what was going on all at once. This, in my own opinion is a smart business idea in itself.

After searching, comparing, and trying out A LOT of providers throughout 2017. Then trying a set of providers that I thought were a good fit among one another in 2018, I decided on one finally on July 18th, 2018. In a few short months, we will have been with them for a year officially.

Even though Hostcrate does offer web hosting services, we do recommend to always have a backup account/plan somewhere. Not to be used as a backup service but just in case a disaster does happen to have another website to communicate with – outside of social media – as we all are aware that technology is not perfect so take steps in prevention rather than taking care of it after the fact. We even recommend having a stream backup as you just never know. Hopefully that makes sense.

Anywho, we decided to go with MDDHosting. Their services were fast so our website’s page load time was amazing and that is essential for Hostcrate especially when we have people outside the United States who access our website. The best part though is their quick response time with customer support. As most of you are well aware, I am quite the stickler to getting quality customer service. I despise the cut and paste canned responses from companies. It drives me completely bonkers to receive a canned response. MDDHosting DIDN’T do that!!! They are real people who actually read what you have submitted and respond appropriately.

To top this off, they had an issue a few months back that caused a severe outage by a mistake that one of their server administrators had made. Yes, our website was down for a bit of time. BUT the manner in which MDDHosting.com had handled the situation is why we are still with them today.

  • They sent out an email.
  • They made it clear on what happened.
  • They worked as had as they could to restore services.
  • They made a plan to prevent this type of issue in the future.

THAT is why we stayed. THAT is why I believe in their company. THAT is why I am creating this post and promoting their services because THAT is how a provider is suppose to act when something goes wrong. I decide to become an affiliate for them and the links above are affiliate links so Hostcrate would get a commission if you decide to make a purchase but don’t get that twisted because from this situation, having their quality services, with amazing customer service is the reason as to why I support them 100%. I will **NEVER** promote a company that I don’t believe in.

Thank you for taking the time in reading this post. I appreciate each and every one of you that is supporting Hostcrate because without you, I wouldn’t have this amazing job that I absolutely LOVE!!!

A quickie reminder

It’s that time again. A server reboot will be performed between 3AM SLT – 6AM SLT (6am est – 9am est) tomorrow January 2nd, 2019.

In case you are new to Hostcrate, welcome & thank you for your business first and foremost. Secondly, we do scheduled reboots on the 2nd and the 20th of each month.

If you don’t have premium support, you’ll have to log into your control panel and click start or you’ll receive a broadcasting error in your DJ software. If you cannot see the control panel page or you get failed logins, you’ll have to contact us to get UN-ip ban. See this post on details/video on how to do that.

In other exciting news, Hostcrate has merch but we’ve branded it separately just in case some people aren’t interested in seeing that sort of stuff. Head on over to our merch website and subscribe if you wouldn’t mind and follow all of our socials.

That’s all for now. I will be working on a few merch items later today that will be posted hopefully tomorrow if Amazon approves them quickly.
