Hiring: Experienced Second Life LSL Scripter for Companion Pet HUD Project

Hiya! 👋

I’m looking to hire an experienced Second Life LSL scripter for a paid commission involving a menu-driven HUD and interactive attachment system for a companion pet product.

This is a milestone-based project with payments released upon approval of each stage. There are 4 milestone stages.

Project Overview

HUD Control System (layout will be provided — no chat commands)

  • Menu-driven interface for easy control.

Multiple Mode Switching

  • Walk beside avatar

  • Shoulder perch

  • Hand/arm hold

Mode Animations

  • Animations that match each mode (e.g., walking animations when walking beside).

Idle Animations

  • Looping actions like tail twitches, ear flicks, etc., that run when the pet is stationary in any mode.

Accessory Attachment System

  • Accessories (e.g., hats, capes) are separate attachable items.

  • Toggle ON/OFF via HUD.

  • Must attach/detach cleanly without breaking other functions.

  • Must be future-proofed for accessories released later.

Rideable and Flyable Mode (when applicable)

  • Smooth transitions and mounting logic.

  • Synced animations for riding/flying.

Optimization

  • Low lag, clean scripting practices.

  • Fully functional with the provided assets.

Important Notes

  • Models & animations are currently in progress – you will receive simplified placeholders for scripting purposes.

  • Milestone-based payment: Each stage must be approved before moving to the next, with payment sent per milestone.

  • All final scripts must be delivered in fully editable LSL format (no obfuscation, backdoors, or locked features).

  • Full IP rights will be transferred upon final payment.

  • Proof of in-world functionality is required before each milestone payment is released.

How to Apply

Please send me a notecard in-world with:

  1. Your SL username.

  2. Examples of past work (especially HUDs or attachment systems and anything that is comparable in complexity).
  3. References.

  4. Your proposed payment and estimated timeline for completion. This is a milestone-based project with payments released upon approval of each stage. There are 4 milestone stages.

  5. Any questions you may have about the workflow.

💡 Note: This is a standalone project, but there may be opportunities for future paid commissions on other systems.

Thank you,
LustyLexxi Larimore
