The next scheduled maintenance that will be performed on January 15th 2021 will take a bit longer because I have to update some software & such. This goes for both servers. The server may be rebooted a few times for the updates to be applied. You will be kept notified when the maintenance is completed on all of the platforms that we send notices at. If you have premium support, your stream will be started for you. Otherwise, you will need to log into your control panel & click start to stream.

Ending Sales & News

Hey there!

First, thank you for coming to check out this post. I appreciate the time you are taking to read what I have to say!!

First I would like to let everyone know that all the sales posted at https://news.hostcrate.stream/category/current-sales/ will be expiring on January 1st, 2021. If you have an unpaid invoice for any of the sales that you don’t pay before this date, it will be removed and you would be missing out on the sale.

Onto other news…

I love to write if you haven’t noticed. However, This website I want to keep completely Hostcrate related whether that is with sales info or maintenance notices. So I decided to have a website of my own to separate Hostcrate related things from my personal things I wish to share.

I will be working on this and should have the site up soon. The site will have a range of things I want to share with you but won’t be Hostcrate related.

I also had the urge to start a food blog but I think (still TBD) I will not be starting that but will just put that on my personal blog instead in case I want to share something I’m cooking or if I find a recipe I really want to share with you.

Hubby’s Birthday (December 11th, 2020)

Hey there! I just want to let everyone know that I will be completely unavailable tomorrow (december 11th, 2020) as it is my husband’s RL birthday so I will be with him all day celebrating on his day! If it is server related (like the servers are down) I will make time to deal with such but outside of that please be patient & understanding!

Hey! So, since it seemed as if people enjoyed the Halloween Hide & Seek, I’m bringing it back but this time it will be much easier!

1: It is only *ONE* object. An Elf Girl. Here is a picture of her. Also, a video too so you know her size.

2: She will *NOT* be placed on the entire sim. She will be placed in two areas. Either the office area (inside or outside the buildings) as seen below. Or she will be in any of the stream’s rental box rooms (the areas where you pay your rental boxes). That’s it.

3: If you find her, you will win the prize for that day IF you follow #4 instructions. She will then be placed back out to be found by another person. You can find her once per day to give everyone the chance to win. Prizes will change and vary drastically. Only I have the list of prizes and no, you cannot see them 😉

4: Once you find her: Buy her for L$0 then take her into your inventory. Once she’s in your inventory then send me a direct message saying you found the elf girl and I will get back to you asap. PLEASE *DO NOT* send her to me until I ask or you risk losing her as she will be transfer only which would make me upset so please, please, please wait until I ask.

5: This will start on December 4th, 2020 at 6AM SLT & end on December 31st, 2020 at 12PM SLT

Please understand that we *cannot* control these types of maintenance windows as this is directly done by the datacenter themselves so please be patient.

PART TWO:
We will begin doing scheduled server maintenance on the 15th of each month at 4AM SLT starting December 15th, 2020. Please understand that no matter what time/schedule we choose, it will essentially affect someone. However, these reboots are done to keep the servers healthy just like your own personal computer when you do security scans or when you power down your computer for the night, or etc. We don’t do this to be bug but we do apologize in advance if it affects you. This is one of the reasons we suggest having a backup stream in place by multiple companies just in case because technology is *not* perfect. Which leads me to say that we will be proving backup services on separate servers soon; to be announced. See scheduled server maintenance page by clicking here.

PART THREE:
The server pricing for the new server at the separate datacenter I was going to order was higher than I anticipated because they don’t include support with their lower options, at all. So I’m working to see if there is any room for negotiations. Hopefully even if there isn’t that their network can even handle our streaming services when ordering and beta testing. I will keep everyone posted. Thank you for your patience. There are a number of late rentals past the grace period. All rental boxes past the grace period will be terminated. Please come check & pay your rental if you plan on renewing.

A Little Update: an email list option is in the works – however – it will be a paid option because it will be A LOT of extra work on my end to do on a daily basis to send out reminders manually. I will send a notice/website post on it once it has been finalized.

Charity (Inworld) Donations

Per our charity signs: we have now donated what was give in L$ to the donation boards at our office. I would like to give a special THANK YOU to all of those who donated.
